Crochet braids with kinky hair

Hola amigos,
Im bringing you a quick DIY hairstyle – crochet braids with kinky hair.  For this hairstyle, I used two packs of Supreme Royal Silk Afro Twist Hair in color 1.
I guess everyone already knows the process for crochet braids (weave your hair underneath, and attach each piece of hair with a latch hook or Bobby pin) For a more detailed tutorial, see this post.
Now to the pictures which is all this post is all about.

2 years post big chop

Hey guys. Been a while. This post is long overdue. So Ive had my hair natural for two years now.  It clocked Two years last month but Ive been so lazy to write this post.
And Im not going to be doing a length check because….  I don’t feel like my hair has grown well in this past year.

I think my hair just got fuller. Anyways,  I’ve been very lazy with my hair this service year, so I guess the hair is angry and unforgiving. :'(:'(
I hope this ‘new hair year’ brings better growth.

My Travel Makeup Essentials

Hey guys. It’s been a minute .
So I’ve been travelling so much lately and packing isn’t so easy, so I thought to share the makeup products I pack when I’m traveling. So here we have it.
WHAT IS IN MY TRAVEL MAKEUP KIT?

1. Sleek eyeshadow palette : I so love this palette as it has colors that can be used almost anytime(dull and flashy colors?)
2.MaryKay Foundation : Well, a girl needs her foundation. My foundation is in color 708, yes I’m that dark.lol
3.Eyeliner: A winged eyeliner can go a long way, you know .

4.Classic Lipstick in Nude: I’ve been drawn to this nude lippie lately, not everytime red or purple.

5.Covergirl Mascara: I looove this mascara as it makes my lashes fuller and longer with it’s two step application

6. Davis Pencil (color 18) : 100 naira can go a looong way yo. Brows gotta be on fleek
7. LA Pro Concealer in Toast : How shall I get my brows to be on fleek without this?
8. Brushes : Foundation brush, Powder Brush, Angled Brush, Eyeshadow brush, Spoolie.
9. Powder: this is missing from the picture. It’s somewhere I don’t know right now. This is also needed.

Why does this always happen? I always get to say Happy New Year towards the end of February. Anyways it’s better late than never, right?
I’ve been away for too long.  It’s not my fault, ehh…  Im in a village in the land of Ekiti State serving this country. Honestly, It’s been very boring because well, it’s Ekiti State.

The routine is : go to the school where I teach (story for another day),  come back home by 2, sleep or watch a movie-if there’s light, eat, and sleep again. This place is soooo boring. 7pm here is like 3am in Lagos. It’s so quiet.September can like to hurry up and come o, lemme leave this place
Okay, i’ll create more time for blogging since I don’t have so much to do (if network allows tho, because my fingers are crossed right now, hoping this post sends)
Okay so I made my hair here and I was a bit impressed. I was so skeptical about making my hair but my hair had been out for two weeks and the weather wasn’t making it so good cos it was hard.
I decided to just try my luck. How bad could it be???
I went to the salon with 9 rolls of Brazilianwool I got from Lagos.

Final look

Used only 6 rolls, the sixth one remained a little. I paid just 1000 naira for the twists.

Make up of the day :1

Hi guys, so about three months ago,  I learnt the art of make up. I haven’t really been practicing because Ive been busy but now I’m ready to show off my skills. Lol
Im starting a segment where I show my look of the day at least once in a week.  So this week,  im starting with this look.

NYSC Camp experience

Hey guys, the title of this post tells why Ive not posted in a while. Yh,  I was in camp and the experience was somewhat fun. Okay so I was posted to Ekiti State. I was happy because it was actually the best of my three choices.
I left for camp on the 28th of October with my friend(Meene).

The journey was sooooo long. Took like 6 hours or even more. And I was happy before, busy saying it’s not far :'(:'(:'(.
We got to camp and registration began. It was so hectic and we didn’t even finish that day. We came back to registration hall the next day and finally completed it. We were officially otondos.lol.

We were given our kits. My khaki was like 10 sizes bigger than me. But I was lucky to have gotten my exact size of jungle boot and white sneakers( apparently the man in charge thought I had small feet ,little did he know that I have humongous feet).

Had to slimfit my khaki later for 1000 Naira, even though the carpenter tailor cut it too short.
Next day was swearing in. We stood under the sun for hours. The remaining days went by fast.  Camp was actually fun, apart the waking up by 3am to have my bath in the cold aspect and standing under the sun aspect.

I made some friends in camp…:mrgreen:. I learnt how to make beads too

I didn’t really participate much in platoon activities because….well, I’d rather sleep. I only acted drama.
I made up and tied gele for someone as part of the skill acquisition program

On the last day, we were given our posting letters and sadly for me, I was posted to a village.

When I say village,  I mean the mud houses kind of village. :'(:'( I’ve got no choice but to adapt.

Going back to the village soon.
